Assessing the Development of the Seriexology Specialty (Base-Year: 2023)

This paper presents an overview of the development seriexology as a specialty, applying, in an adapted form, the research instrument proposed by Zaslavsky (2021, p. 3 to 5), condensing into 20 the 23 items of assessment of the degree of maturity of the specialty of conscientiological research. An evaluation scale with scores from 0 to 5 was adapted to the questionnaire, justifying the items based on facts, aiming to identify strengths and positive points not yet assumed, in addition to unsuspected weaknesses and omissions of the group work. Previous results point to medium-high level of maturity on the specialty development scale. There were positive evaluations in several items, highlighting: 1. Group guidelines for conducting research at the CI; 2. Existence of a specialty treatise; 3. Publishing of seriexology own scientific journal; 4. The Thesaurus of Seriexology Project; 5. Preparation of the synoptic table of the specialty; 6. High synergism of research–parapedagogical activity in the CI.
